She/her/hers

In her vital role at The Wright Group NY, Terri expertly collaborates with clients to forge effective advocacy strategies that address both their immediate and long-term funding goals, as well as their broader policy and strategic initiatives. With a deep commitment to advancing public and private partnerships, Terri leverages her extensive experience to navigate complex funding landscapes, thereby enhancing service delivery and impact for nonprofit organizations across New York State.

Terri's professional journey began in the nonprofit sector, where she dedicated five years to advocating for increased investments in services for children and families at the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies (FPWA). Her role there involved significant engagement with city administration efforts to craft a comprehensive service delivery blueprint for child care, showcasing her ability to influence and shape critical policy frameworks. This foundational experience equipped her with a robust understanding of the challenges and opportunities within New York’s social service sectors, making her a formidable advocate for community-focused initiatives.

Following her tenure at FPWA, Terri transitioned to a pivotal role at the Brooklyn Museum, where over nine years, she successfully secured substantial capital funding for key infrastructure projects. Her responsibilities expanded to include representation on city advisory panels and coordination of the Cultural Institutions Group (CIG), further amplifying her influence within New York’s cultural landscape.

Terri’s introduction to city service was marked by her appointment in 2016 as advisor for Arts, Culture, and Libraries to the First Deputy Mayor and the Deputy Mayor for Housing. This role allowed her to impact significant policy decisions and contribute to the development of strategies that supported arts and cultural institutions across the city. Prior to joining The Wright Group, she served as the Assistant Commissioner for the CIG unit at the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, where she managed a portfolio encompassing 34 cultural organizations located on city-owned property. Her leadership in this capacity underscored her commitment to enhancing New York City’s cultural offerings through strategic funding and policy guidance.

Now a Brooklyn resident, Terri brings her California roots and a spirit of innovation and inclusivity to her work in New York. Living with her husband and children, she is deeply embedded in the community she serves, bringing a personal passion to her professional endeavors.
