Emily holds the esteemed role of Chief of Staff & Director of Strategy at The Wright Group. In this pivotal role, Emily coordinates the integration of the firm's practices between the city and state levels, ensuring strategic alignment and seamless operations. Her leadership extends to overseeing the onboarding of new clients, business development, and managing the firm’s dynamic client engagement division. Emily's strategic acumen also guides the firm’s successful Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) portfolio, positioning TWG as a leader in regional economic advocacy and development.
Bringing to the table a rich tapestry of experience gained through working in government, political campaigns, and nonprofit management, Emily joined TWG in 2017.Her expertise in operationalizing strategies and strengthening coalition capacities has markedly advanced TWG’s initiatives as well as those of the firm’s clients, particularly in the arts and cultural sectors where her impact has been profoundly felt. Her approach not only fosters inclusive representation but also amplifies the voices of the communities TWG serves.
Prior to her tenure at The Wright Group, Emily's career was marked by significant achievements in policy and budget advocacy, particularly during her time at The LGBT Community Center. There, she played a critical role in expanding the organization's government affairs department, advocating for policies that support diversity and inclusion. This role built on her earlier experiences on Capitol Hill, where she served as a Congressional aide to several high-profile elected officials, including U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen. Her work in these positions imbued her with a deep understanding of the legislative process and the complexities of the federal and state legislatures.
